Artist Music Network Does NOT Sell Your Personal Information

Artist Music Network (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Company”) is committed to protecting your personal information and respecting your privacy rights. This notice explains our practices regarding the sale and sharing of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and other applicable US state privacy laws.

If you are a California resident or resident of another state with privacy laws (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, etc.), you have specific rights regarding your personal information, including the right to know what is collected, the right to delete information, and importantly, the right to opt-out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal data.

1. Artist Music Network Does NOT Sell Personal Information

1.1 Clear Statement Artist Music Network does not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary compensation or valuable consideration. We do not and will not:

  • Sell, rent, release, disclose, or transfer your personal information to third parties in exchange for payment or other valuable consideration
  • Monetize your personal data by licensing it to data brokers, marketing companies, or other commercial entities
  • Share your personal information with third parties who pay us for access to your data
  • Sell your personal information to record labels, music distributors, music promoters, or other music industry companies
  • Sell or transfer your personal information to any entity or individual for any monetary or valuable consideration

1.2 No Current or Future Sales Artist Music Network commits that we will never sell your personal information. This commitment applies now and will continue in the future. We have not sold personal information in the past, we do not sell personal information now, and we will not sell personal information in the future.

2. Information Sharing for Business Operations

2.1 Operational Sharing (Not a “Sale”) While we do not sell your personal information, we do share certain personal information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Platform and providing Services. These are necessary operational relationships, not sales. We share information with:

  • Email Service Providers (SendGrid, Mailchimp): To send you account notifications, newsletters, and communications you request
  • Payment Processors (Stripe, PayPal): To process your subscription payments and handle billing
  • Hosting and Cloud Providers (Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare): To host the Platform and maintain system infrastructure
  • Analytics Providers (Google Analytics): To understand how the Platform is used and improve user experience
  • Legal and Compliance Services: To comply with applicable laws and protect our legal rights

2.2 These Transfers Are NOT “Sales” These service providers do not pay us for your personal information, and we do not receive monetary or valuable consideration for sharing your data with them. These are necessary operational relationships where service providers assist us in providing and maintaining the Platform. Service providers are contractually obligated to use your personal information only as necessary to provide their services and to maintain the confidentiality and security of your information.

3. Anonymized and Aggregated Data

3.1 Anonymized Data Is Not Personal Information Artist Music Network may share anonymized and aggregated data with music industry researchers, analytics firms, and business partners for purposes of trend analysis, industry reporting, and research. This data cannot identify you personally and does not constitute personal information under privacy laws.

3.2 Examples of Anonymized Data Sharing We may share:

  • Aggregate statistics (e.g., “50% of emerging hip-hop artists on the Platform are from the South”)
  • Trend data (e.g., “Pop genre represented 40% of new sign-ups in 2025”)
  • Industry insights (e.g., “Career progression patterns show 15% of Level 1 artists reach Level 2 within two years”)
  • Aggregated performance metrics that do not identify individual artists

3.3 No Personal Information in Aggregated Data All anonymized and aggregated data is permanently de-identified and cannot be used to identify, contact, or target any individual artist. This data sharing does not constitute a “sale” of personal information.

4. Syndication of Magazine Content

4.1 Magazine Content Is Not a Sale Artist Music Network syndicates magazine articles and editorial content to third-party publications including Billboard, Pollstar, Music Business Worldwide, and Variety. This syndication is content distribution, not a sale of personal information.

4.2 What Is Syndicated When an article features you as an artist, we may syndicate the article content to third-party publishers. This includes:

  • Published magazine articles and interviews
  • Editorial commentary and analysis
  • Public information you provided for your artist profile

4.3 No Raw Data Transfer We do not transfer your raw personal data (email address, contact information, or private information) to syndication partners. We share only the published article content and information you have made publicly available through your artist profile. This is content distribution, not a sale of personal information.

5. Analytics and Advertising Cookies

5.1 Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics) Artist Music Network uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the Platform. Google Analytics may receive information about your browser type, operating system, pages visited, and time spent on the Website. Google does not compensate us for this data, and this is not a “sale” of personal information. However, under some state laws, this may constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5.2 Advertising Cookies and Pixels Artist Music Network uses anonymized data with advertising partners (Google Ads, Facebook Pixel) for retargeting campaigns. These pixels receive only anonymized and aggregated data about your browsing behavior on our Website. We do not share your personal information (name, email address, or identifiable data) with advertising partners.

5.3 Opt-Out of Analytics and Advertising You have the right to opt-out of analytics and advertising tracking. See Section 7 (Your Rights and Opt-Out Options) for instructions on how to disable cookies and opt-out of tracking.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

6.1 We Do Not Retain Data for Sale Because we do not sell personal information, we do not retain data for the purpose of creating datasets to sell to third parties. All personal information is retained only as necessary to provide Services, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes.

6.2 Data Deletion Upon Request You have the right to request deletion of your personal information. Upon deletion request, we will delete all personal information within 45 days (or as required by law), with limited exceptions for legal compliance, fraud prevention, and security purposes. For more information, see the Privacy Policy Section 6 (Your Privacy Rights).

  • Charge you a higher price or provide lower quality service
  • Deny you goods or services
  • Treat you differently based on exercising your privacy rights

8. California CCPA and CPRA Rights

8.1 California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) If you are a California resident, the CCPA provides you with specific rights regarding personal information:

  • Right to Delete: You can request deletion of personal information (with legal exceptions)
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sales: You can direct us not to sell your personal information. Since we do not sell personal information, this right is already protected

8.2 California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) The CPRA (which amends the CCPA) adds additional rights:

  • Right to Correct: You can correct inaccurate personal information
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sharing: The CPRA distinguishes “sales” from “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt-out of sharing even if we receive no compensation
  • Right to Limit Use: You can limit our use of sensitive personal information
  • Right to Access Algorithms: You can request information about automated decision-making

9. Other State Privacy Laws

9.1 Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and Other States If you are a resident of Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), or another state with privacy laws, you have similar rights. Artist Music Network complies with all applicable state privacy laws and provides similar access, deletion, and opt-out rights.

9.2 Verification of Identity When you request to exercise your rights, we will verify your identity before processing your request. We may ask for your email address, name, or other identifying information.

11. Do Not Track Signals

Artist Music Network honors “Do Not Track” signals sent by your browser. If your browser is configured to send a Do Not Track signal, we will limit our collection of analytics and advertising cookies. You can enable Do Not Track in your browser settings (most modern browsers support this feature).
